Welcome to the Guidance Page of the SSCPS website!

The goal of the guidance webpage is to keep you informed of all the different aspects that are related to the Guidance Office – from working papers/permit to college entrance exams (PSAT, SAT, ACT), to college counseling.

Guidance Department Mission Statement from the SSCPS Handbook

The aim of the Guidance Program is to help the students in their personal and academic growth and development. The close relationship between the students and faculty at SSCPS is exemplified in the Guidance Program.

The school provides comprehensive, developmental assistance through the direction of the Guidance Office, which conducts group session, classes, workshops, and presentations.  It also provides opportunities for students to schedule individual appointments with guidance.  Students are assigned a Faculty Advisor each year and advisory services are always available through faculty, coaches, and administrators.

College counseling is an effort to match the desires and abilities of the student with a college so that both benefit. Choosing a college is a difficult task. Special evening workshops are scheduled for parents/guardians regarding College Financial Aid programs and the college selection and admission procuress.
